Such a joyful experience here today! My husband and I planned to head to the park with our kids and wanted to pick up sandwiches for a picnic. I placed an order on the website to pick up at 10:15 (the earliest available time). The online ordering process was simple, although there are a lot of categories to wade through--if you know what you want, you'll have no problem. Keep in mind there aren't any descriptions of the items, so knowing what you'd like is key (if you aren't sure or have questions, I'd recommend ordering in the store as they are so very helpful). The ordering system places your order but you pay at the register when you arrive. On first impression, the store was clean, modern, well-lit and beautifully furnished. I loved the seating area which has bench seating (great for kiddos) and leather chairs that were incredibly comfortable. When we arrived the cashier said our sandwiches were in the process of being made, but she offered me coffee on the house while we waited! Such good service. Keep in mind, they make your food to order for the highest quality product, so if you're in a hurry you might want to place an online order or give them a call. The best thing was, they didn't mind that our kids were a little energetic, and interacted with them happily--it made us feel very welcome. We waited about 15 minutes after arrival, and the weather turned to rain by then, so we decided to forego the picnic and eat there. Great music (it was Ghibli piano songs while we were there), comfortable seating, and the food was delicious! The sandwich bread is a fluffy but dense milk bread that is surprisingly filling, and the pork Katsu and chicken Katsu were still crunchy and warm. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and I enjoyed the addition of cucumber to the sandwiches. The sandwiches have a subtle flavor, so if you're looking for something spicy or intense, I'd say to try elsewhere. The star though, was the fruit sandwich. Really incredible! The tangerine tasted like a creamsicle with the cream cheese/whipped cream, it was all I could think about that afternoon. I see why this sells out--if you'd like to try one, get there early! The owner was so welcoming and explained that these fruit sandwiches take a lot of time to prepare. I felt the care and pride in each of the sandwiches we had today, along with the lovely service. That will keep us coming back,...
Read moreWe are incredibly grateful to have this bakery in Atlanta, as it not only offers outstanding flavors but also brings the authentic taste of Taiwan's local cuisine to us.
So far, we have indulged in a variety of their delectable offerings, including their fried chicken, fruit teas, desserts, fries, sandwiches, and more. Each dish truly embodies the essence of Taiwan's local cuisine. Having visited Taipei in 2015, we can attest to the authenticity of their flavors.
Although our home is not in close proximity to the bakery, we eagerly make the journey during weekends. Starting from Thursday or Friday, we begin planning our meals and carefully selecting our favorites from their menu. The anticipation builds as we wait, but the remarkable part is that they never fail to exceed our expectations.
Their sandwiches are undeniably the star of their store, always freshly made. They are incredibly popular and sell out within moments, prompting the owners to return to the kitchen and prepare more sandwiches immediately. It's logical, isn't it? The popularity speaks volumes about their freshness.
Yesterday, we enjoyed a delightful picnic with their sandwiches. As we sat under a tree, it suddenly dawned on me why we adore early summer: the gentle sunshine, the refreshing breeze, and the sheer bliss that can be encapsulated within a simple sandwich, crafted with the perfect combination of...
Read moreCalling out to all my friends who enjoyed Taiwanese style pastry/food. I discovered Bread connection one day my looking through google because I was craving for Chinese pastry and around Duluth there's only sweet hut which is overrated. Hubby is Taiwanese and he was ecstatic when I sent him the link to this place and we went the next day. Hubby normally despise anything sweet but his eyes was wide open when he first entered this place. He saw all the katsu bun and pork floss one as well. We ended up getting some pasties with 2 katsu bun and one pork floss just to try it out. We left astounded by all the flavors and his childhood coming back since his parents sent him back to Taiwan for primary school, so he literally grow up eating this type of snacks and he's in love with Bread Connection.
With me working all week so hubby went back to the bakery the next 3 days with him buying 15 of the katsu bread for the nail shop and before he going to his cousin wedding in Florida. I will recommend this place to all the people that have never tried this style of snacks and is willing to try it. Did I mentioned they also have katsu bento box with traditional side dishes and well as combos. I only tried their passionfruit green tea and it was delicious.
Until next...
