A Day Stroll in Florence
A Stroll Through Medieval Streets, Immersed in the Beauty and Romance of Florence š Florence Cathedral & Giotto's Bell Tower ššš I had pre-purchased tickets for the dome, opting to visit the church interior, crypt, and bell tower the following day. The weather was much better than the first day, and with the backdrop of a clear blue sky and white clouds, the cathedral looked even more stunning. Climbing the bell tower was a leg workout, but it allowed for close-up shots of the exterior of the Florence Cathedral's dome. š Palazzo Medici ššš A must-see after watching "The Medici," this palace showcases the Medici family's exquisite taste through its layout, frescoes, sculptures, and decorations. I was able to admire "The Adoration of the Magi" up close, which gave me a glimpse into the family's former glory. š Piazza della Signoria & Loggia dei Lanzi š»š»š» Once the political heart of Florence, this open-air art museum was a bit late in my itinerary. I couldn't enter to see the sculptures up close (entry was restricted after 5 PM), but I still enjoyed viewing them from a distance. š Palazzo Vecchio ššš Formerly the town hall of Florence and now an art museum, this place houses treasures like the "Putto with Dolphin," Vasari's frescoes, the Hall of the Five Hundred, Botticelli's Madonna and Child, and Dante's death mask. Florence is truly a sanctuary for art lovers, with masterpieces mentioned in books visible everywhere. š Piazzale Michelangelo A visit here is incomplete without watching the sunset. The view of the cathedral and the Arno River bathed in the afterglow is breathtaking. The relaxed and free atmosphere here is infectious, offering a personal golden hour. #Travel #Florence #Italy #CityWalk #ItalyTravel
