A Half-Day Trip to Harrisburg, PA 🚗💨
Took a short trip to Pennsylvania’s capital, Harrisburg, over the Labor Day long weekend. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive from Philadelphia. There aren’t too many attractions, so half a day is plenty to explore! 🌆 The State Capitol Building, with its striking green-and-gold dome, is a real landmark. The entrance and stone carvings are beautifully crafted—and no reservation is needed to go inside. Just note that it closes early on weekends (4:30 PM), so plan accordingly! ⏰ Behind the Capitol, there’s a Soldiers’ Memorial Park with a large fountain at the center. The mist from the fountain felt so refreshing on a warm day 💦😊 We also took a relaxing stroll across the iron bridge over the Susquehanna River. With the blue sky and white clouds, it was totally healing 🌤️✨ That day, we happened to come across a holiday market along the riverbank—full of handmade crafts, food trucks, and even a playground for kids. It was lively and packed with locals, giving off such a warm community vibe 🎪🍦🧸 #Harrisburg #DayTripFromPhilly #PennsylvaniaTravel #HarrisburgPA
