A Seafood Feast in Boulder

☀️Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar I chose this seafood restaurant to celebrate my birthday. As soon as I entered, I was enveloped by the refreshing scent of the ocean. ☀️Waiters shuttled between tables with oyster platters piled high with ice, and the freshly shucked Gillardeau oysters on the silver cart still carried the salty aroma of Atlantic seawater. 💗When the manager heard we were celebrating a birthday, he immediately brought over Prosecco with a sparkling candle and taught us how to use a mother-of-pearl spoon to taste caviar. 💗The beet salad hid a surprise of lemon curd, while the grilled scallops were cooked to perfection—slightly translucent, paired with fennel puree that fully enhanced the seafood's natural sweetness. 🍃The biggest surprise came when the chef came out to ask about our dining experience. Hearing about my love for seafood, he even invited us to visit the aquarium in the kitchen. 🍃As we were leaving, a server chased us to the parking lot to return a coat we had left behind. #OysterFeast #BirthdaySurprise #Boulder
