A Short Drive from Chicago, “Like Versailles in the Midwest,” a French Festival With Aerialists, Burlesque, and an Eiffel Tower Light Show

However, you may have the opportunity to experience just that—a Parisian summer— and you don’t even need to travel to France. Cantigny Park, the former estate of Colonel Robert R. McCormick, named after the French village, will celebrate its French heritage this summer. The 500-acre park will host two of its most popular events on July 19 and 20, transporting visitors to the Palace of Versailles. Rendezvous: Splendor of Versailles -------------------------------------- On Saturday, visitors will step into the grandeur of Versailles at Rendezvous en France. This 21+ event offers all the luxury of the French court within Cantigny’s beautiful gardens .
