A Solo & Soulful Christmas Week ๐โจ
Even flying solo, this Christmas week was anything but quiet โ filled with food, running, and exploring! ๐ฆช Christmas Eve Dinner Tried clams for the first time! I always thought Whole Foods sold them in huge bags, but you can actually buy them loose. Cooked them in a sweet pepper tomato sauce โ perfect with seafood! ๐ ๐ ๐ฎ Ponce City Market Dropped by twice this week. The festive decor was charming, though weekends were packed with cheerful, loud crowds โ the holiday spirit was real! ๐ ๐ Sandy Springs & CRR 10k Route Scouting The course was tougher than expected โ described as flat with a final downhill, but really it was rolling hills and ended with an up-and-down combo! Passed a massive mansion under construction โ looked like a future palace! ๐กโจ The area felt a lot like Chamblee โ mostly residential with everyday shops, but sidewalks were lacking. ๐ฝ๏ธ Dinner at Delbar with a Friend She tried the Lamb Neck, I went for Lamb Tahchin โ a baked saffron rice dish layered with lamb shoulder and fava beans. The yogurt and egg crust kept it moist and beautifully golden. Flavorful, though their bread was saltier than Iโm used to. ๐ณ First Visit to Garden Hills Route: Alexander Park โ Garden Hills Pool โ Sunnybrook Park โ Bagley Park So lush and green โ Alexander Park felt like a forest in the city, even wilder than Ansley Park! ๐ฟ๐ถโโ๏ธ Even MARTA was packed โ that holiday energy is everywhere! Bring on the New Year โ more adventures ahead! ๐โค๏ธ #SoloChristmas #AtlantaLife #FoodDiary #RunningAtlanta #ExploreGeorgia #HolidayVibes #DelbarMiddleEastern #GardenHills #FestiveWeek #NewYearReady
