It would probably be nice if it was ever open. We got a membership this year for the first time, and it has been such a waste of money. They didn’t open when they were supposed to (members were supposed to have two weeks of entry before the general public) due to plumbing issues that just suddenly appeared after they had all winter and spring to fix things. This weekend is supposed to be the first weekend they’re open to everyone starting at noon, and, shocker, they’re closed again. The only place they communicate this is on Facebook, which isn’t super handy if you don’t have Facebook. I signed up for the news alerts via email, but I’ve never gotten one. Read moreThe pool area is nice, however my family and I never got a chance to swim. We were met by a woman who literally closed the gate to the pool on us. The “volunteer” insisted we were not “allowed” in the pool area because the general admission doesn’t open until 12pm. We arrived at 11am as google states, the pool opens at this time. The woman insisted that only private lessons were allowed in before 12. Yet, once my family and I walked away, she allowed other people to enter the pool area but kept closing the gate as to show, you can’t come in here. One thing about Garden Hills is that I have never encountered a racist or acts of discrimination, the area is very progressive but today I was let down because of one, pool troll. Read moreI never write reviews but this place was such a happy find on a quick trip to Atlanta in July from NYC with two little kids ages 4 and 6 so it felt like it deserved one. Very clean, well staffed, inexpensive ($5pp and free admission on the day we went from 10am-1pm). There is a cute snack shack with cheap lunch options for kids.
