A Staggering Return to a Restaurant Five Years Later

It's quite a sentimental journey. This isn't my first time at Siena Tavern. My first visit was five years ago, right at the beginning of the pandemic. I never expected that an Italian restaurant I stumbled upon back then would still move me after all these years. 😊 We ordered a full table of delicious dishes, and none of them disappointed. The flavors were spot-on! ✨ πŸ• Truffle Mushroom Pizza The truffle aroma is rich and intense, while the mushrooms are juicy. The crust is that perfect balance between crispy and chewy. It's very fragrant, though personally, I'm not a fan of eating the crust on pizza. πŸ• πŸ— Brick Chicken The chicken skin is slightly crispy on the outside, but the inside is incredibly tender and juicy. The seasoning is excellent, and the accompanying potatoes and sauce are just right. I couldn't get enough of those potatoes! πŸ— πŸ–€ Squid Ink Linguine I think this is the top dish of the night! The sauce is a spicy lobster cream, which adds a touch of heat and freshness. The lobster tails are large and firm, with a great texture. The pasta is very al dente. This combination is just perfect! *Whispers*: I think it's even better than the squid ink pasta at Volare. πŸ¦‘ 🍞 Bread Pudding A dessert lover's dream! The layers are incredibly rich. It features bourbon-soaked caramel sauce, which adds a hint of alcohol flavor that really enhances the taste. The cream is light and airy, and the candied almonds give a nice crunch. The best part is the Greek yogurt ice cream, which is refreshing and cuts through the richness. Once you take a bite, you won't want to stop! 🍽️ πŸŽ‚ Birthday Cake with Sparklers πŸŽ‰ If you're celebrating a birthday, be sure to mention it in advance. The staff will bring out a mini cake with a sparkler, which instantly elevates the atmosphere and is perfect for a memorable photo. πŸŽ‚ πŸͺ‘ Ambiance & Experience The restaurant has an industrial-style decor, with plenty of seating and soft lighting. It's not too noisy, making it ideal for gatherings with friends, dates, or birthdays. The service is good, especially with timely water refills. 🌟 πŸ’‘ Tips: ✨ I highly recommend making a reservation! Weekend dinners can be quite popular, though there are usually tables available during the week. It's perfect for groups of 2-4, with moderate portions. I suggest ordering a variety of dishes to share, and the staff will help with portioning. ✨ For parking, you can choose street parking or nearby paid lots, but in the city center, Uber is probably the most convenient. πŸš– #food #NorthAmericanLife #Chicago #ChicagoLiving #ItalianCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation #WesternFood #Birthday #ChicagoFood #AmbientWesternDining
