A Weekend Activity That’s Absolutely Foolproof to Bring Friends To!

Went to see Chicago’s underground magic show, *The Cosmic Underground Show*, with friends on Saturday—it was absolutely mind-blowing! 🤯✨ We spent the whole way home trying to figure out “how did they even do that?!” 😂 The venue is intimate, with an audience of just a few dozen people—never crowded, so everyone gets a clear view of the magicians’ incredible skills. It’s also super kid-friendly! 🎩👧🧒 Tickets are $33, which is honestly a steal for this level of entertainment. The performers, Harrison and Kayla, are also the hosts of the space. Harrison is a master of close-up magic—his hands move faster than your eyes can follow! Plus, he’s hilarious, with joke-telling skills that rival any stand-up comedian. 🎭😄 Kayla’s mentalism act was the highlight of the night. A must-do: participate in her interactive segment! Almost every audience member walked away with a “how is this even possible?!” expression. She accurately guessed people’s hobbies, professions, nationalities, and even favorite books just by asking a few questions. I lost count of how many times I said “WOW!” out loud. 🧠🔮 Since I mentioned “would love to take photos” in my reservation, Harrison seated me in the front row. I even got to participate in a few tricks with Kayla—the experience was next level! 📸✨ 🐻 The Cosmic Underground Show 📍 3433 W Fullerton Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 🎟️ Tips: - Currently shows are only on Saturdays at 8 PM; runtime is about 1 hour 45 minutes - You can request front-row seats when booking (better chance of being part of the act!) - Mention if it’s your birthday—you might get a special gift! 🎁 - Book about a week in advance—it sells out fast! - Oh, and don’t miss the summer special ramen at Monster Ramen nearby—it’s delicious! 🍜 The restaurant is open until 10:30 PM, perfect for a post-show snack. Have you ever been to a magic show that completely blew your mind?
