Ada Street — A Dinner by Candlelight 🕯️

Ada Street was a favorite date spot before the pandemic. Tucked away in Bucktown near a light industrial area, parking is a breeze — and now, we’re finally back! 🌿 The patio uses artificial turf (green year-round!) and has a retractable roof, so you can enjoy it even on rainy evenings. 🏭 Exterior & entrance — the restaurant is unmarked and moody, lit entirely by candles at night (no electric lights in the dining room). 🥃 Old Fashioned — on the sweeter side, paired well with smoked burrata. 🐷 Grilled pork “char siu” — not traditional, but tasty: tender pork with lemongrass chili glaze, topped with cilantro and scallions. 🍝 Gnocchi with truffle — pillowy little dumplings coated in creamy cheese and earthy truffle — rich and satisfying. 🍩 Blueberry donuts — freshly fried, warm, and generously powdered (very American-sweet). Strangely reminded me of Chinese fried pastries! This is a cozy, versatile spot — great for girls’ nights, date nights, or small groups. They also have a private dining room, though it might feel a bit corporate for a casual gathering.
