Ada Street โ A Dinner by Candlelight ๐ฏ๏ธ
Ada Street was a favorite date spot before the pandemic. Tucked away in Bucktown near a light industrial area, parking is a breeze โ and now, weโre finally back! ๐ฟ The patio uses artificial turf (green year-round!) and has a retractable roof, so you can enjoy it even on rainy evenings. ๐ญ Exterior & entrance โ the restaurant is unmarked and moody, lit entirely by candles at night (no electric lights in the dining room). ๐ฅ Old Fashioned โ on the sweeter side, paired well with smoked burrata. ๐ท Grilled pork โchar siuโ โ not traditional, but tasty: tender pork with lemongrass chili glaze, topped with cilantro and scallions. ๐ Gnocchi with truffle โ pillowy little dumplings coated in creamy cheese and earthy truffle โ rich and satisfying. ๐ฉ Blueberry donuts โ freshly fried, warm, and generously powdered (very American-sweet). Strangely reminded me of Chinese fried pastries! This is a cozy, versatile spot โ great for girlsโ nights, date nights, or small groups. They also have a private dining room, though it might feel a bit corporate for a casual gathering.
