Afternoon Tea in Chicago: The Palm Court 🍵✨

A Little Background The Palm Court is located on the second floor of Chicago’s historic Drake Hotel 🏨. Built in 1920, the hotel carries a vintage charm—both inside and out. This afternoon tea spot is quite legendary: it has hosted Queen Elizabeth, Princess Diana, and even Japan’s Emperor and Empress! 👑🇯🇵 My Experience 🌿 Ambience: 3/5 We visited on a Saturday, and the hall was almost full. Tables were placed quite close together, making it feel a bit noisy—we could even hear conversations from neighboring tables 😅. The live harp performance added a lovely touch, though! 🎶💫 💰 Price: 5/5 At $49 per person, this is a really reasonable price for an afternoon tea experience! Our waiter even asked if we wanted refills on pastries and desserts—though we couldn’t even finish what we started with! 🍰 😋 Taste: 4/5 The set includes finger sandwiches, fruit bread, scones, and French pastries. As expected, the desserts were quite sweet (classic American style 🍬), but the sandwiches, mini beef sliders, and scones were all tasty! 🥪🍔🧈 Final Thoughts Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon tea experience—great for catching up with friends! 👯‍♀️ For a romantic date, though, I’d recommend somewhere quieter and more intimate. 💑🌹 #ChicagoAfternoonTea #ThePalmCourt #DrakeHotel #HistoricChicago #TeaTime
