Alabama Shakespeare Festival: An Encounter on Stage
🌹The theater of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival is adorned with Elizabethan banners under its red brick arches, 🌹while the courtyard garden features a bronze statue of Shakespeare surrounded by rose bushes. Even the air is filled with the solemnity and passion of classical drama. 💗As one of the top ten Shakespeare festivals in the United States, it is not only a beacon of Southern theatrical culture but also a dream stage for countless actors. 💗The production I participated in was A Midsummer Night's Dream, where the director ingeniously transplanted the story to the Alabama countryside of the 1920s. 🌈 Fairies wearing jazz headpieces fluttered among the oak trees, while Athenian nobles dressed in white linen suits reminiscent of Southern gentlemen. 🌈As part of the stage design team, I witnessed how projection technology made cottonwood seeds float across the theater dome and how a mechanical stage could instantly split open to create a "magical swamp." #ShakespeareanDrama #Montgomery #ArtJourney
