I USED TO SPEND SO MUCH MONEY, AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

One of the owners, (Mark) was super nice to me, too, (once, when I called about not being able to taste the garlic on my pizzas.)

Unfortunately, though, that's where the niceness stopped.

Here's what happened:

I ALWAYS ordered garlic, red onion and basil, on my pizzas, and could NEVER taste the garlic on the pizzas, (OR the one, or two, slice(s) of red onion, for that matter.)

SO, I was told by Nathan, (bright orange,🃏"Joker" hair, and a, "so-called manager,") to, "Tell them, ON THE PHONE, when ordering, you 'like a lot of garlic,' on your pizzas."

So, I did JUST THAT, the next time I called in, to order my pizzas.

You can imagine my surprise, when I WAS INFORMED, WITH, ABSOLUTELY, NO WARNING, AT ALL, that I would be charged double price, for my pizza toppings!

I could have understood it, HAD I HAD BEEN FOREWARNED ON THE PHONE, (WHEN PLACING MY ORDER,) and had some choice in the matter, OR, if they had just said, "NEXT TIME, UNFORTUNATELY, one of the owners said that, I'm going to 'need to charge you double price for' the (so called 'extra') garlic."

Well, not so... Rather than keeping my patronage, and being nice, they, VERY rudely, INSISTED ON charging me OVER $35.00, for their little, tiny pizza.

I swore, I would NEVER GO BACK THERE, AGAIN, and I never will, all because of being treated SO RUDELY, by Nathan, and some other, dark colored, long-haired guy, (the one who should have, INITIALLY, warned me on the phone,) with a baseball cap, that said, "her/she" pronouns.

They were BOTH, SO RUDE TO ME.

They wouldn't even warn me, ONCE, and basically, COULDN'T HAVE CARED LESS, that I was so upset over the matter!!

SO, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED, SAD AND ANGRY, at this point.

I am disappointed in the establishment, sad to be treated the way I was, and angry, because, I will no longer be supporting a local, small business, (DUE TO THE WAY I WAS TREATED.)

All I know is this: The thousands of dollars I have spent there, and would have continued to spend there, will be missed.

It's too bad, that "common sense customer service," is so rare, at Satch Squared.

I've been in Food Service, since the age of 14, and was, obviously, trained well, and properly.

I would NEVER treat anyone the way I was treated.

It's THE PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER, to me. One WOULD, AND SHOULD, warn a customer, about having to charge them double, for something, UPFRONT.

*Note: It's not like these employees were novices, either. It was plainly obvious, THEY JUST DID NOT CARE, ONE BIT.

This was my repeated experience, here, too, (re: pizza toppings.) It happened each, and every, time I went there. (They are SUPER greedy, when it comes to putting a proper amount of toppings on their pizzas.) SO, BE forewarned!

*NOTE: In MY attached pictures, the garlic YOU CAN SEE, I ADDED MYSELF, IN MY OWN KITCHEN...something, IMHO, ONE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO, when ordering a pizza, (AND PAYING DOUBLE, per topping!)

Also, note the LACK OF red onions, TOO, in my attached pictures!👎🏼👎🏼 I, forgot to add that, it's greasy AF, too, with some type of "Pam cooking spray." It's SOOOOO GREASY, I have to open, and close, the pizza box with napkins! Yuck😝! I've gotten burned edges on my pizzas, too, a few times. (Which is another thing, that shows a lack of employee care, IMO.)

It's the LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND LACK OF CARE💕, that I received, that are driving me away from this establishment.

It Sucks for the owners...

If this was MY shop, I'd, (easily,) track ME down, give me a couple of free pizzas, (apologizing, profusely, for what I went through,) and "86" the slacker employees, that are bringing down the energy of the establishment.

In addition, I'd train my staff, better. That way, I would have a company representing ME, the way I WOULD WANT IT represented.

That's just me, though...

⭐I CARE, first of all, and, I'm not greedy.⭐

I, also, take pride in everything I do, and I correct things, when they go wrong😉😊.

After all, "it's NOT...

This is my favorite spot to take people when visiting Gainesville. There are lots of food options to satisfy picky eaters, and they are ALL delicious. You absolutely cannot beat the atmosphere, with the lights and the trees and usually live music. There is also free wifi, so I have sat and worked outside all day with access to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But I recommend having realistic expectations for how quickly your food will be ready - All the of the places in 4th Ave Food Park make your food to order, so don't expect fast-food type service. But the employees are kind, attentive, and considering how many people they serve at once, they do...

A gorgeous little pocket of art and serenity nestled in the city is home to this fantastic Mexican restaurant! Delicious tacos, great prices and a very helpful staff who are honest about how much you should probably order based on your hunger. The outdoor seating is VERY dog friendly and they even serve a cheap little dog meal similar to a Pupochino but with actual healthy ingredients for your lovely pup! Cannot recommend enough, especially the Brunch tacos!!
