Architecture Loverβs Paradise! ποΈβ¨
Chicago totally surprised me in the best way! π We arrived on the afternoon of the 21st and left on the morning of the 23rd β packed with classic landmarks in just 1.5 days. Amazing architecture, clean streets, and the vibe by the lakeβ¦ Iβm obsessed! π¨ Hotel Rec: Sable at Navy Pier Rooms with full views of Lake Michigan β book a high floor! π Steps away from Navy Pier, super convenient location. π Transport Tips: Download the Ventra App β get a $5 1-day pass β unlimited rides on trains + buses for 24 hours ππ. We took the Blue Line from the airport to Grand Station, transferred to a bus right outside, and got off right at Navy Pier. Easy walk to the hotel! π« CityPASS: I got the 3-attraction version β perfect for 1β2 days. Highly recommend these: Architecture River Cruise π₯οΈ: Immersive tour with commentary β a must! Skydeck ποΈ: Glass ledge with epic views. 90 sec per group, but you can go multiple times if itβs not crowded. Art Institute of Chicago πΌοΈ: Follow their 1-hour highlights tour β efficient & enlightening! β οΈ Not recommended: 5-attraction pass β way too rushed. π 1.5-Day Itinerary: Day 1 (Afternoon Arrival) β’ Check-in + explore Navy Pier β’ River Walk + Architecture Cruise Day 2 β’ Morning: Brunch @ Venteux Brasserie (matcha latte π΅ + duck & waffle π¦π§ highly recommended!) β Skydeck β’ Afternoon: Bus to Art Institute β walk to Millennium Park (The Bean π€³ + Crown Fountain + Buckingham Fountain) β’ Evening: Shop along Magnificent Mile + visit the new Harry Potter flagship store (opened in April!) π§βοΈ β’ Dinner: Tre Dita (~$100+/person). A bit salty β nice ambiance, but only worth it by the window. Order: STROZZAPRETI ALLA VACCINARA (oxtail pasta) π and SCOTTADITA DI AGNELL (lamb chops). Friends recommended better-value Italian spots: Nonnina / Volare! Day 3 (Morning Departure) β’ The hotel is right on Navy Pier β perfect for one last dose of Chicago charm before heading out π #Chicago #TravelGuide #NorthAmericaTravel #ArchitectureWalks #TravelYourWay #Citywalk
