Around Montreal｜A Cozy Day Trip to Burlington🇺🇸VT 🌿 We caught a nice weekend before the snow hit, and with a heavy heart lately 😔, my friend and I decided on a spontaneous trip to this US town—Burlington, which totally lifted our spirits～ 📍 Lake Champlain waterfront park I first visited years ago and was obsessed with the pink-hued sky here 💓; this time, the winter sun cast a golden glow over everything, making every snapshot look like the trendy “maillard aesthetic” 🍂. Standing by the lake, watching the shimmering water, I had so many thoughts about life—turns out, quiet moments really let you hear your own heart. 📍 Church st market place The busiest commercial street, packed with cute artisanal shops 🎨—impossible to stop browsing! Prices are a bit steep, but each store’s decor is so charming～ Christmas lights are already up 🎄, their warm glow instantly reminded me of Kingston in the UK. Snapped a festive pic for my friend at Home&Garden Vermont—worth a visit if you love that holiday vibe! 📍 Lake Champlain chocolate flagship Came here after seeing recommendations, then found a smaller branch on the main street～ Haven’t tasted the chocolates yet (saving them!), but the prices are rough for CAD users 😭. Picked up small Christmas gifts for colleagues and bosses—cost me almost a day’s pay, ouch but worth it! 📍 Burlington Beer Company If you love American comfort food, this is a must! We’d had a bad experience at another brewery before 💣, so expectations were low—what a pleasant surprise! Portions are huge (and delicious, not too salty or heavy), we couldn’t finish even half—saved leftovers for two meals 🍔; the beer was crisp too, pairing perfectly with fries. All worries melted away～ 📍 Trader Joe My friend and I promised to “encourage” each other to buy less… yeah, that didn’t work 🤣! Luckily the store was small, or we’d have filled the trunk. Grabbed hand cream, tea bags, chocolates as festive gifts; not many trendy drinks or snacks, and this gym-goer used serious willpower to resist 💪～ Still haven’t made it to the Teddy bear factory after three Vermont trips 🏭—oh well, gives me an excuse to come back!
