Around Montreal|New Finds on My 4th Trip to Vermont 🔍 This is my 4th time visiting Vermont, and there are always new surprises! Found some hidden gems this trip—save this list~ 📝 📍 Simon Pearce (Glass Gift Shop) A charming little shop in downtown Burlington, with glass tableware and decor so beautiful they’ll make you stop in your tracks! ✨ All pieces are hand-blown by local artists, each carrying the warmth of craftsmanship. The prices are a bit steep (my wallet trembled 💸), but it’s worth a visit just to admire the artistry—perfect for fans of handcrafted goods~ 📍 Henry’s diner (Family-owned Cafe) A 4.6-star gem on Google, right next to the glass shop. It’s all about classic American brunch, and super affordable! Most dishes are $11-$15, and my friends and I ordered 5 items—zero misses~ 😋 The pancakes are fluffy, the bacon crispy, though a friend still thinks Montreal’s Allo mon coco hits harder. Nothing beats hometown flavor, I guess~ 📍 Onyx Tonics Specialty Coffee (Cozy Cafe) A tiny, unassuming spot near the waterfront. We popped in just because we were thirsty, and boy, were we glad! ☕ Tried their oat latte and cold brew: the latte (dark roast with a hint of char, balanced by oat milk’s sweetness) was smooth; the cold brew had a faint green apple note 🍏, so refreshing—perfect for summer! Trust your gut with this one~ 📍 Shelburne Farms (Farm & More) This farm must be stunning in summer, with lush green fields perfect for photos! 🌱 Their cheese is amazing—I grabbed a small block to take home, while a friend hauled two buckets of their homemade milk 🥛 (so fresh, you can taste the grass!). There are cows, sheep, horses, donkeys… great for kids 👧. They even open a little tavern in summer, so you can sip and savor rural North American eats~ 📍 Cold Hollow Cider Mill (Apple Goodies Shop) A cute farm shop, similar to ones in Quebec, packed with maple syrup and apple-themed goodies~ 🍎 It’s just 2 minutes from Ben & Jerry’s factory, so swing by on your way! Wander to the back to see apple cider-making machines, and grab a free sample—tangy, sweet, and so refreshing~ After 4 trips, here’s my pro tip: If you’re visiting once, plan a 2-day route: Montreal → Burlington → Stowe → Stowe Resorts, then head back through the mountains. Stay in Burlington or Stowe Resort—either works! 💡 Bonus: The drive from Burlington to Stowe passes Shelburne Farm, Ben & Jerry’s factory, and the cider mill—perfect for a seamless day.
