Asian-Style Ice Cream in Chicago—Lindsey’s Ice Cream 🍦

Last weekend, I took my parents to Xi You for a meal and noticed something new on the dessert menu—besides the usual Candied Sugar Worker sweets, there was now a selection from Lindsey’s Ice Cream! 😮 I hadn’t heard of them before, so of course, we had to give it a try. 🍨💖 🍵 Matcha Strawberry Ice Cream Made with Uji matcha and fresh strawberry sauce, the matcha flavor was rich and delicious—truly satisfying! 🍵❤️ However, the strawberry taste was very faint; I barely noticed it. Not sure if my scoop just wasn’t mixed well or if the whole batch was like that. 🍓🤔 🍑 Peach Lychee Cookie Flavor First taste: peach! 🍑 Then a lychee aftertaste blossoms—so fragrant! 🌸 Though the menu mentioned cookie crumbs in the ice cream, I didn’t find any. 😅 It was tasty but a tad too sweet for my preference. 🍪🍬 🍠 Taro Flavor This one felt a bit ordinary—maybe because the first two were so standout! 😐 Also, not sure if it was a storage issue, but there was a rather large ice chunk in my taro scoop. ❄️🍦 I really wanted to try the Hong Kong Milk Tea flavor, but it was sold out super early due to its popularity! 🍵🔥 Good news though—you can also find Lindsey’s Ice Cream at Gangnam Market! 🛒📍 Plus, they’ll be giving out FREE ice cream this Saturday from 11 AM–1 PM at the Patagonia store in Fulton Market—don’t miss it if you’re curious! 🎉🏃♀️🍨 #SummerFoodieCat 🐱 #ChicagoLife #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFood #WindyCity #IceCream #Gelato
