ATL|Midtown's New Sichuan Fusion | Stir-Fried Pork & Dan Dan Noodles
📍 The Sparrow 950 W Peachtree St NW #220, Atlanta, GA 30309 A friend recommended this new Sichuan fusion spot, so I brought the kids to check it out! 🏮👨👩👧👦 She raved about their Mao Xue Wang (spicy blood and offal stew), but since my little ones aren’t big on spice, we ordered the green pepper fish—mild, tender, boneless fish slices over cabbage and glass noodles. Perfect for kids! 🐟👶 I couldn’t skip the homestyle stir-fried pork with green peppers. It’s cooked in the classic Douchi (fermented black bean) style—not overly sweet like some Americanized versions. The pork was lean and tender (though traditionally made with crispy pork belly), and still packed with savory flavor! 🥩🌶️ We also tried the dan dan noodles ($6)—a single-serving bowl with minced pork and sesame sauce, more like a savory tossed noodle than the usual spicy broth. Mild but fragrant and delicious! 🍜✨ The steamed soup dumplings arrived piping hot with tasty broth inside (though the wrapper texture reminded me of frozen ones). 🥟🔥 Our meal for one adult and two kids came to just over $60. The place was lively, and the next table’s Peking duck looked beautifully plated—definitely trying that and the Mao Xue Wang next time! 🦆❤️ #SichuanFood #AtlantaEats #MidtownAtlanta #FamilyMeals #DanDanNoodles #ChineseFusion #TheSparrow #FoodieFind #AtlantaFoodie #NewRestaurant
