ATL | Midtown's New Sichuan Spot 🌶️🥢

A friend highly recommended this modern Sichuan restaurant, and since it's close to home, I brought the kids to try it out! 🏡👧👦 She raved about the Mao Xue Wang (duck blood and chili stew), but we skipped it since the kids can’t handle too much spice 🌶️😅. Instead, we ordered the Green Pepper Fish—mild yet flavorful, with tender, boneless fish slices, cabbage, and glass noodles. A kid-friendly choice! 🐟💚 The Farmhouse Stir-Fried Pork was another hit! Made with green peppers and fermented black beans, it stayed true to classic Sichuan style—no Americanized sweetness here. The pork was lean and tender (though I missed the crispy, fatty wok texture). We also enjoyed a comforting bowl of Dan Dan Noodles ($6)—a single-serving size with minced pork and sesame sauce. Not too spicy, but fragrant and satisfying! 🍜 The Soup Dumplings arrived steaming 🥟, filled with hot broth inside, though the flavor reminded me of frozen ones. We cleaned our plates! 🍽️ Total for one adult and two kids: just over $60. The place was buzzing, and I spotted a beautifully plated Peking duck at the next table—definitely trying that and the Mao Xue Wang next time! 🦆❤️ 🏠 The Sparrow Café 📍 950 W Peachtree St NW #220, Atlanta, GA 30309 #TheSparrowATL #SichuanEats #FamilyMeal #MidtownFood #AsianFusion #SpiceLovers
