Atl | Spicy Chengdu-Style Mao Cai ๐ถ๏ธ๐ฒ
The buzz was real โ so we joined the crowd at Hibiscus Tree in Duluth for a taste of authentic Chengdu Mao Cai (spicy chili pot)! ๐๐ฅ As โspice-lightโ eaters, we chose the mildest level and still found it fiery โ my Cantonese friend said the heat almost masked other flavors, but the taste was rich and satisfying. Definitely worth trying once! ๐ถ๏ธ๐ We ordered: ๐ฅ Signature Spicy Pot โ Pre-set broth (only spice level adjustable). ๐ Hua Hao Yue Yuan Combo for Two in non-spicy beef bone broth (shared among three). ๐ Chicken Gizzard & Sweet Potato Noodle Pot โ Crunchy gizzards, fragrant celery, but noodles were a bit scarce. ๐ง Sichuan Ice Jelly โ Even with less brown sugar, still sweet โ a classic spicy meal cooler. Note: During soft opening, drinks werenโt available due to staffing. ๐ฑ Waitlist via QR code at entrance โ we waited over an hour with just two parties ahead (grabbed boba at Mootea next door to pass the time!). โณ Soft opening 20% off until the 10th โ a great deal for a bold, flavorful experience! #Atlanta #ChineseFood #HibiscusTree #MaoCai #ChengduFlavors #SpicyFood #DuluthEats #SoftOpening #FoodieBuzz #AtlantaEats #WorthTheWait
