The buzz was real — so we joined the crowd at Hibiscus Tree in Duluth for a taste of authentic Chengdu Mao Cai (spicy chili pot)! 😋🔥 As “spice-light” eaters, we chose the mildest level and still found it fiery — my Cantonese friend said the heat almost masked other flavors, but the taste was rich and satisfying. Definitely worth trying once! 🌶️👌 We ordered: 🥘 Signature Spicy Pot – Pre-set broth (only spice level adjustable). 🍖 Hua Hao Yue Yuan Combo for Two in non-spicy beef bone broth (shared among three). 🍜 Chicken Gizzard & Sweet Potato Noodle Pot – Crunchy gizzards, fragrant celery, but noodles were a bit scarce. 🍧 Sichuan Ice Jelly – Even with less brown sugar, still sweet — a classic spicy meal cooler.
