Autumn at the mountaintop π and autumn in the clouds βοΈ β even in late fall, the view from Indian Seats at Sawnee Mountain is pure therapy for the soul. πβ¨ Mid-October to mid-November is the peak season for fall colors here, and the trails are beautifully blanketed with golden leaves. ππ The hike to the summit takes about 30 minutes, and it's family-friendly β perfect for kids and adults alike. π₯Ύπ¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ We parked in the lot on the right (the left lot leads to other trails), followed the clearly marked path, and were rewarded with sweeping views of the Georgia foothills. After the hike, we treated ourselves at Vampire Penguin in Cumming β their shaved snow is lighter than ice cream, smoother than a slushy, and the pineapple flavor was absolutely refreshing! πβοΈ A little stroll around Cumming Town Center wrapped up our laid-back autumn afternoon perfectly. ποΈπ Whether you're looking for an easy nature escape, a photo-worthy hike, or just a breath of fresh air, Indian Seats delivers.
