ATL Eats: Chinese Cuisine - Sichuan Style
Restaurant: ChiliSpot 🌶️ Finally tried the newly opened ChiliSpot—and it was delicious! 😋 The owner is super humble—there's even a sign at the entrance that says "Please go easy on us!" 😄 Flavor: Followed recommendations from and ordered a bunch of dishes—most were really tasty! 🔥 My favorites: Běn Běn Niú (Spicy Beef Trio) – Flavorful and aromatic. Golden Corn – Sweet, crispy, and addictive! Eggplant with Century Egg – Unique and tasty. Beef Tongue with Green Peppercorn – Tender with a nice numbing kick. Sichuan Cold Noodles – Refreshing and well-seasoned. ⚠️ A few misses: Mao Xue Wang – Not very fragrant, just numbingly spicy without much depth. The portion was huge though, so I took it home and “upgraded” it. Pork Kidney – Served cold, which made the slight gaminess more noticeable. Some appetizers tasted quite similar—delicious but repetitive. The rice ($2) wasn’t great—hoping they switch to a better brand soon! A few dishes arrived only warm, not hot. Also, some came super fast while others took a while—maybe they’re still balancing the kitchen flow. Ambiance: The space is modern, clean, and spacious—not cramped at all! Parking in the plaza is getting tougher though, since so many popular spots are clustered together. 🅿️ Service: Friendly and attentive—staff responded quickly whenever we needed something. 👍 Overall, the flavors are solid and prices are reasonable. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation! 🥢✨ #AtlantaEats #SichuanFood #ChiliSpot #ChineseCuisine #SpicyFood #NewRestaurant #AtlantaFoodie #FoodReview #MustTry #SichuanSpice #EatLocal
