Atl Mediterranean - Ela

Lately, I've been on a serious Mediterranean food journey ๐Ÿฅ™โœจ, and my latest stop was Ela โ€“ a charming, intimate spot that stands out from local favorites like Rumiโ€™s and Delbar. While smaller in size, Ela brings its own delicate, thoughtfully crafted vibe to the table. Itโ€™s cozy, understated, and perfect for a relaxed meal. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŒฟ We started with the Pita Board, which came with creamy hummus, tangy pickled vegetables, and a standout eggplant dip that was unexpectedly amazing โ€“ smoky, smooth, and full of depth! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘ But the real star was the Shawarma Spiced Shrimp ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒถ๏ธ. Served with a white bean and fennel purรฉe and stewed beets, this dish was subtly spiced, warmly aromatic, and packed with flavor. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the combination with the creamy beans and sweet beets was just divine. Highly, highly recommend! We also tried the mussels, simmered in a garlicky broth that was fragrant and delicious โ€“ perfect for dipping with extra pita. ๐Ÿง„๐Ÿฒ As for drinks, we sampled three cocktails: Olympia, Capri Son, and Vespa Martini. They were nicely made, though not particularly memorable โ€“ pleasant but not show-stopping. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ˜Š Overall, Ela may not have the expansive menu or bold flair of some other Mediterranean giants in Atlanta, but it delivers in atmosphere, warmth, and dishes that feel carefully created. Itโ€™s a lovely place for a date night or a quiet dinner with close friends. Iโ€™ll be back for that shrimp โ€“ and to explore more of their โ€œsmall but skillfulโ€ kitchen! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿซ’ #Atlanta #MediterraneanFood #Ela #Foodie #HiddenGem #DineOut
