Atlanta|An Amazing All-Around German Dining Experience

Last weekend, I visited the festive German Christmas market in Lawrenceville downtown (so lively and packed—loved the vibe!). Later, I finally tried a German restaurant in Duluth I’d been wanting to visit—and wow, the experience was outstanding! From the story of the late founder (a former race car driver) to the cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and our kind waiter, everything left a deep impression. I’d definitely come back! 🥣 Soup of the Day Rich and flavorful, though a bit salty on its own—perfect when paired with their fresh bread. 🍖 Pork Shank 'Schweinehaxe' ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-order in advance (limited daily!). We luckily got the last one. Huge portion—enough for at least 4–5 people. Eat it with the tangy sauerkraut and crispy fried onions for the full experience. 🍽️ German Sampler Platter A great way to try a bit of everything. Highlights: Weißwurst (white sausage) – incredibly fresh with a hint of lemon, not greasy at all. Thick-cut bacon – smoky and satisfying. 🍛 Spaetzle with Mushroom Cream Sauce My friend who’s been to Europe says this is a must-order carb dish. Hearty, creamy, and comforting—one friend even said it tasted like home. 🍮 Desserts Oma's Bread Pudding – Warm nutty pudding topped with cold ice cream. A lovely mix of textures and temperatures. Black Forest Cake – Rich, chocolatey, and not overly sweet. A classic done well. Overall, a memorable meal with generous portions, authentic flavors, and heartfelt service. Highly recommend for a cozy, satisfying German feast! #GermanRestaurantAtlanta #DuluthEats #PorkShank #GermanFood #ComfortFood #AtlantaFoodie #FestiveDining #MustTryAtlanta #HeartyMeals #EuropeanCuisine
