Atlanta🌠|Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon)

Tried shooting it at a lakeside spot last weekend, but the weather didn’t cooperate — so I headed out again today, this time to Lake Lanier. Weather truly makes all the difference! ☁️➡️🌌 Under clear skies and with an open northwestern view in Atlanta’s suburbs, the comet finally revealed itself. This shot was taken at 500mm and cropped vertically — the comet’s structure really stood out! An 85mm lens also works well, especially if you want to include some landscape for scale and storytelling. 🌲📸 If you have binoculars, you’re in luck — C/2025 A6 is visible through them too! I observed it clearly with my pair, glowing softly against the twilight. ⏳ When to watch: Start looking about 40 minutes after sunset, toward the northwest. Use a stargazing app for real-time positioning — it makes spotting so much easier! The comet stays observable for a fairly long window, giving you plenty of time to observe or shoot. Whether you’re into astrophotography or just love gazing up at the night sky, don’t miss this celestial guest ✨ #Astrophotography #Atlanta #LifeInATL #Stargazing #CometWatch #NightSky #LemmonComet #CosmicBeauty #UrbanAstro #GeorgiaOutdoors
