Finally — a Korean restaurant in Atlanta serving marinated raw crab (ganjang gejang), and it comes with roe! 🙌 Gwanghwa Mun Korean Restaurant (near Great Wall Supermarket) is known for its soup meals: beef bone soup, oxtail soup, rice soup, and more. The beef bone soup is good, but their specialty “Gwanghwa Mun soup rice” was just okay, and the pork bone stew didn’t wow me (Han Il Kwan’s is better). But the marinated crab is the real star here. 🦀 $40-ish for 3 crabs + 2 marinated shrimp, plus pickled onions, white rice, and crispy scorched rice. The crab is well-seasoned, not too salty, and this season they’re nice and plump — with roe! The side dishes are fresh — kimchi is tangy but not overly sour, very refreshing. I’ve already been three times in one week (takeout every time).
