Finally made it to Tokyo Shokudo, a cozy spot run by a lovely Japanese couple. They open at 5 PM — best to call around 4:50 PM to reserve a table! 📞⏰ We ordered: 🍣 Sakura Sashimi Set – $35 – All cuts were fresh and clean. My favorites were the salmon and tuna. 🦀 Fried Soft Shell Crab – $16 – Crispy, tender, and perfectly balanced with a light tempura sauce. 🌊 Uni (Market Price) – $12 per piece – Sweet, creamy, and much fresher than another local spot I tried recently. 🍤 Sweet Shrimp – $4.85 each 🌶️ Grilled Japanese Pepper & 🐖 Grilled Pork Belly Skewers – The pepper was mild and refreshing; pork belly was savory and juicy. Service was warm and attentive, though expect a wait — with just two tables, it took about 30 minutes for food to start arriving. But it was worth it! Also enjoyed the eel sushi and the Philadelphia roll — great value. Overall, excellent quality for the price, and that soft shell crab alone is worth a return visit.
