Atlanta's Treasured 30-Year Japanese Eatery

🍣 Sushi Yoko 📍 7124 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, GA 30071 Time is running out to visit this iconic spot in its original location — the doors close this weekend! But here’s some good news: Sushi Yoko isn’t disappearing. It’s moving soon alongside Tomato convenience store to a new spot opposite Yummy Top, which means you’ll also be able to grab delicious buns on your way. Talk about a win-win! 🥟✨ I have to be honest — this isn’t the place for a quick meal. The staff is stretched thin, the decor is nostalgic but worn, and our food took about 40 minutes to arrive. Yet, every bite reminded me why this place has thrived for three decades. Every dish feels lovingly made, like it just came out of a Japanese home kitchen. No pre-packaged shortcuts here — just honest, fresh flavor. 🍤🍢 We tried a bit of everything, and it was all wonderful: Tempura so light and crisp Takoyaki that’s soft, savory, and packed with tender octopus Nanban chicken, juicy with a tart, vinegary kick Grilled fish cheek, tender and full of umami And the pork cutlet curry — oh, the curry! 🍛 Simmered with beef and loaded with big chunks of meat, it’s rich, deeply savory, and exactly the kind of salty, hearty curry I’ve been searching for. 🌸 Even the flowers blooming by the entrance seemed to be saying a gentle goodbye. This is your last weekend to experience Sushi Yoko as it is — worn chairs, slow service, and all the soulful flavor that comes with 30 years of history. If you’ve ever wanted to taste a piece of Atlanta’s culinary legacy… now’s the time. #AtlantaEats #SushiYoko #JapaneseFood #AtlantaFoodie #NorcrossEats #HiddenGem #CurryLover #LegacyEatery #AtlantaDining #SayGoodbye
