I found myself wandering around Duluth again today and stumbled upon a gem of an American restaurant. 📍🍽️ It had decent but not outstanding ratings on Yelp, so my expectations were modest—but wow, was I pleasantly surprised! 😲✨ Located in historic Duluth, Local on North has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, though the space itself isn’t very large. They serve their regular menu Monday through Saturday, with brunch available on Sundays. Since today was Saturday, we ordered from the regular offerings. 🗓️👌 We started with the Bruschetta. I’m usually hesitant about cheese, so I only took a small bite, but the toasted bread alone was incredibly fragrant and delicious! 🍅🍞 My husband loved it—he said the combination of cheese, tomatoes, and the vibrant green herb sauce was flavor-packed and truly impressive. 🌿🧀 For my main, I had the 007 Smashburger with a side of local greens salad. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying, while the salad with poppy seed dressing was refreshing and cut through the richness perfectly. 🍔🥗 My husband ordered the Paella—a generous portion that seemed like a creative, slightly modernized take on the classic. And it was delicious! The rice was plump and soaked in savory broth, and the fish and shrimp were tender and fresh. 🦐🍚 Overall, this spot was a delightful surprise—every dish we ordered was a hit!
