Atlanta | My Casual "Non-Hype" Food Diary 🍽️
Just sharing some of my regular eats—whether I'm dining solo or meeting up with friends. Most of these aren’t planned, and I don’t chase trends, but looking back, it’s been quite a flavorful journey! Think of this as my personal “ATL Food Atlas,” and maybe it’ll give some of you inspiration for your next meal 😉 🇰🇷 Kang Nam Ordered a two-person set meal that felt like a whole ceremony! Started with a variety of small dishes (way beyond just pickles), then a massive sashimi plato that’s seriously generous. Ended with a warm stone pot soup and rice—so satisfying! 🍱🐟 🇰🇷 Yet Tuh My go-to when I’m craving something simple and homely. Run by a sweet Korean auntie, the menu isn’t huge—I usually get the tofu soup or bibimbap. Their kongguksu (chilled soybean noodle soup) is unique—definitely an acquired taste! 🍲 🇰🇷 Sorimmara Tried Korean-style malatang here! The selection includes all kinds of Korean noodles—thick, thin, round, square… you name it. Honestly? Still think Chinese malatang hits different 😅 🇨🇳 WEI This place stole my heart when I first moved to Atlanta. Their Mao Xue Wang (blood and tripe stew) remains UNMATCHED. Same goes for the cold noodles—still absolutely legendary. 🌶️🍜 🇨🇳 Lai Ke Barbecue House Lots of choices, but my usual is the 3-combo BBQ over rice. Their beef chow fun is fragrant and huge—always have leftovers for the next meal! 🍚🔥 🇨🇳 Xi’an Gourmet House (Midtown location only!) Their vegetarian youpo mian (oil-splashed noodles) is INSANELY good. I order it every time—carb coma guaranteed 🍜💤 🇨🇳 The Sparrow Feels like American Chinese but surprisingly decent! Great for a casual after-work bite. Loved the braised eggplant—also tried the Sichuan fish and Mao Xue Wang, both pretty okay 👍 🇯🇵 Okiboru (Sandy Springs location, always!) My ramen craving always leads me here. Besides the classic tonkotsu, I adore their shoyu chicken paitan. Appetizers are unique and delicious—order freely, no regrets! 🍥🍜 🇻🇳 Bamee Tea Beef noodle soup served in a sizzling stone pot—the broth stays bubbling hot till the last sip. Total comfort in a bowl 🍲❤️ #Atlanta #LifeInATL #AtlantaEats #AtlantaFoodie #ExploreATL #ATLWeekend #WhatToEatInATL #AtlantaRestaurants 🥢✨
