Autumn is the Season for Hairy Crab — Shine 🦀🍂
With cool breezes carrying the scent of osmanthus and chrysanthemums touched by frost, it's hairy crab season again! We quickly made a reservation at Shine~ 🦀 We ordered a male crab at the restaurant, served with ginger vinegar. The claws were tender like jade, the shell filled with rich, red roe. The crab meat was steamed perfectly—so satisfying that we bought another male and a female crab to take home! 🦀 The sweet and sour pork ribs we’d tried before tasted much saltier this time—not really recommended. 🦀 "Heart Too Soft" dates stuffed with glutinous rice have always been a favorite of mine—sweet, soft, and chewy. They make a perfect dessert. 🦀 The squirrel-style yellow croaker had a crispy skin and tender flesh inside, glazed in sweet and sour sauce. If it weren’t for the bones, even those not used to whole fish would love it! 🦀 The pork and eggplant hotpot can feel a bit heavy on its own, but pair it with rice and it becomes an absolute rice-devouring masterpiece! The eggplant soaks up all the savory flavors from the minced pork—so addictive. 🦀 The scallion oil noodles were also delicious—the aromatic scallion oil coated every strand of noodle, and we finished them in no time. 🦀 Finally, curiosity got the better of us and we tried the Four Seasons sushi roll from their regular menu. It was decent, typical sushi spot quality. 📌 Tip: Remember to pre-order the crab and special dishes when you book—otherwise, you might be stuck with just sushi!
