Taco Bros — Restaurant in Bakersfield

The pasta now is good but I purchased two birria ramens today and I thought it was honestly disgusting. It’s sooo chunky there’s absolutely no broth to it. I poured it into a bowl to see if there may be broth at the bottom but no . It literally felt and looked like pudding. Also asked for onion and cilantro on one and got 2 pieces of the stem of cilantro and 1 piece of diced onion. I did try to call to see if we can fix the issue but no answer so having to drive back to the restaurant in the morning since I forgot my receipt at home. Hopefully there’s something that can be done. Will update review after but my last review here was 5 stars a year ago on birria tacos. Can’t believe how the quality of the birria has went down. I used to love it here even when they were in downtown. The drive thru associate was super nice but quality of food is 0 on any other items to me. Passion fruit water is 🔥!! Also came back in next day and customer service was phenomenal didn’t catch her name but she was super friendly. She had blonde hair with some shade of blue or purple in her hair. I really hate writing bad reviews, but when the business practices are bad, people should know. This was my second time here and my last. The first time, I thought the food was okay but could give it another chance.

Tonight, I ordered via drive-thru and was grossly overcharged. After reviewing the receipt, I questioned why they prices on the receipt were higher ($2/taco higher) than the display price, Hailey stated that there is a disclaimer somewhere on the sign that says something about the prices are subject to change. Blah blah blah. She offered the managers number and said there is nothing she can do for me. Without other options, I accepted the food and left.

If the business can't advertise correctly and hides behind some lame disclaimer that is posted inconspicuously on a busy menu board, what else are they hiding? Shady business practices.

And to top it off, the food wasn't impressive, again.

Do yourself a favor and support businesses that are honest and won't pull a "bait and switch" on...

Birria! I love their birria tacos and the honest-to-goodness sweet disposition of the staff. They have a drive-thru, but I like to eat there, partially because I also think their soda is extra good. They don't skimp by watering it down, so I look forward to my Taco Bros well as the food. I have not tried their selections of other meals, like pasta, but my last visit II did get their beans and rice. I must say this is their weak link. I found them quite boring. Sure some salt helps or pour some birria on it, but really.. I say No! and drink my birria straight up. Actually I prefer the birria tacos eaten with the T.B hot sauces (OH my, I haven't mention their salsas!!!) and I drink the birria straight up. I just love it! But, imo for me, it could be a bit more beefier, it reminds me of ABC soup, not in a bad way. But I will not hesitate to go to Taco Bros. You should go too! Right now, if...
