Baltimore Dessert|🍵Kyoto Matcha Tea on the Pine
Baltimore’s Go-To for Matcha Lovers: Kyo Matcha – Standout Soft Serve & More 🍵🍦 With two locations near JHU (Towson and Ellicott City), Kyo Matcha is a must-visit for matcha enthusiasts—while some items miss the mark, their signature matcha soft serve is a clear winner! Here’s the breakdown of my visits (first six photos from Towson, last four from Ellicott City): ✨ The Star of the Show Matcha Frozen Soft Serve (Pure Matcha): 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Hands down the best item! It’s not overly sweet, with a rich, authentic matcha flavor that shines through—creamy, smooth, and packed with that earthy, vibrant matcha taste we love. If you’re a matcha fan, this is non-negotiable. Matcha Frozen Soft Serve (Mix): ❌ A letdown compared to the pure version! The mix is far too sweet, which dilutes the matcha flavor to almost nothing. Stick with the pure matcha—you won’t regret it. ❌ Disappointing Picks Pork Floss Salty Milk Cap Cake: The pork floss lacks flavor and tasted less than fresh. It’s not memorable, and I have no desire to repurchase it. Dream of Sakura (Cherry Blossom Jelly): Bland and unremarkable—no distinct cherry blossom flavor, just a plain, underwhelming jelly. 📌 Location Details Towson: 1 E Joppa Rd Suite 165B, Towson, MD 21286 Ellicott City: 10045 Baltimore National Pike Ste A6, Ellicott City, MD 21042 📌 Practical Info Best For: JHU students, matcha lovers, anyone craving a refreshing, not-too-sweet treat, or casual stops for soft serve. Pro Tip: Skip the mix soft serve and non-soft-serve items—focus on the pure matcha frozen soft serve for the best experience. Both locations offer the same standout soft serve, so visit whichever is more convenient! #JHU #Baltimore #BaltimoreEats #BaltimoreLife #KyoMatcha #MatchaSoftServe #MatchaLovers #BaltimoreFoodie
