Bistro Monadnock|What to Eat in Chicago’s Theater District 🎭🍽️

Located right near Chicago Theater, Gene Siskel Film Center, and CSO, this French bistro is a solid choice! The entrance is a bit hidden, but stepping inside feels like entering a cozy, atmospheric space with an open kitchen—a true French bistro vibe. Everything we ordered—food and drinks—was on point! 🦞 Lobster Bisque 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – Highly recommend! Rich, creamy lobster soup topped with puff pastry, packed with tender lobster meat—almost like a lobster porridge by the end. 🐌 Escargot 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – A French classic. Juicy snails baked under a buttery pastry crust, perfect with crusty baguette. 🥩 Steak Tartare 🌟🌟🌟🌟 – Well‑seasoned raw beef with savory garnishes and crispy baguette—a great starter with drinks. 🥩 Dry Aged Steak Frites 🌟🌟🌟🌟 – Took a while, but the huge plate for two was impressive. We ordered medium; the crust was slightly charred (a bit bitter), but the meat was juicy. Maybe medium‑rare would be better. The fries were crispy outside, soft inside—delicious with both sauces. ☕ Espresso Martini 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 – One of the best espresso martinis I’ve had! Sweeter and very smooth, with a strong coffee aroma—highly recommended. 💰 Price: ~$80‑100 per person. Perfect for a post‑show, post‑movie, or post‑concert meal in the area! #Chicago #ChicagoEats #FrenchBistro #TheaterDistrict #StudentEats #ChicagoFoodie
