Bistro Monadnock – French Dining in Chicago's Loop 🇫🇷🏙️
A relatively new French spot tucked away in an alley in the Loop’s office district. The vibe feels old-fashioned and cozy — bar area on the left, dining space on the right. Perfect for after-work drinks with colleagues or a weekday catch-up with friends nearby. 🍸 Drinks: Tried both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic Melon Sour 🍈. Their mocktails are some of the best I’ve had — many spirit-free drinks elsewhere taste like flavored soda, but here you can tell they put real thought into crafting them. 👌 🥣 Food: 🥩 Steak Tartare – Classic preparation, served with crispy baguette slices. 🐚 Moules Marinières – Steamed mussels in a savory broth, also paired with baguette (great with drinks!). 🦞 Lobster Bisque – Rich and creamy with plenty of lobster meat, topped with flaky pastry. A bit on the salty side, but delicious — highly recommend! ⚠️ Note: Portions here are quite generous, and many dishes come with bread or pastry. We were already full after two appetizers and the soup — didn’t even get to try the mains! Next time, I’d love to try their escargots and PLATS (main courses). #FoodieLife #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodFinds #FrenchBistro #LoopChicago #AfterWorkVibes
