Boston Eats | Delicious Restaurants in Historic Concord

I originally planned to write a travel post after an outing today… but a whole afternoon of rain ruined those plans 😅! Even the estate sale I wanted to visit was totally emptied out—sob. Oh well, at least good food can cheer me up! Today, I’m sharing two great spots in Concord: a brand-new Mexican restaurant and a decades-old fine dining spot that’s won “Boston’s Best Restaurant” multiple times. They’re super close to each other and near Concord’s top attractions—perfect for grabbing a bite after a day trip! 1. Bandoleros Mexican Grill (New Mexican Spot) 📍 Address: 195 Sudbury Rd, Concord, MA 01742This new Mexican joint was such a nice surprise! We ordered the Parrillada (a taco platter loaded with cheese, spicy peppers, beef, pork, chicken, onions, and more) and Ceviche as an appetizer—and when the food arrived, it covered the whole table 😂! The little extras: They served crispy chips and a unique black tortilla—both were tasty and paired perfectly with the salsas. The tacos: The tortillas were soft and fresh, and when you piled on the meat, sauce, avocado, and melted grilled cheese? Chef’s kiss 🤤! So flavorful and satisfying. Vibe: The plating is cute too, and on weekend nights, they even have live bands playing—such a fun, lively atmosphere! 💰 Average cost: $30+ per person. Super good value for the portion size and quality! 2. 80 Thoreau (Veteran Fine Dining) 📍 Address: 80 Thoreau St, Concord, MA 01742This is a classic fine dining spot with over a decade of history—and it’s been named one of Boston Magazine’s “Top 50 Best Restaurants” for years! They update their menu regularly, so there’s always something new to try. The crowd: It’s such a warm, welcoming spot—you’ll see couples of all ages here: young lovers, gray-haired grandparents holding hands… it feels so cozy and special ❤️. The food : They usually offer a classic 3-course meal, but you can also order à la carte. The appetizer (squid) was tender, and the sauce was so unique. The main courses—steak and black bass—were both standout dishes, cooked to perfection. And the desserts? They had coconut pudding and peach ice cream—light, sweet, and the perfect end to the meal. Drinks: Their cocktails are worth trying too! Pro tip: Make a reservation in advance—this spot fills up fast. We went during Restaurant Week, so it was more affordable:💰 Average cost during Restaurant Week: $90 per person (includes tax, tip, and drinks!). Normally, it’s around $110+. #Boston #BostonLife #BostonFood #BostonArea #BostonAreaFood #WhatToEatInBostonArea #ConcordBostonAreaTown #BostonFoodAndFun #BostonRestaurantRecommendations #BostonDateRestaurants
