Definitely a place me and my family won't come back to. I ordered the pork belly tacos. They were small 2-bite tacos. Tortillas were dry and bland. Pork belly was decent. Rest of the flavors suggested in the menu description were severely lacking. Youngest daughter got pollo tacos. Menu description said tomato queso fresco and avocado. We asked for no avocado and queso fresco. Asked to add lettuce and shredded cheese. Server said cheese already came with it on the bottom of the taco. Tacos came out with no tomato, no shredded cheese or cheese on bottom, and lettuce was a salad mix with radish cabbage and carrots that we had to pick out. Daughter didn't like the tortillas for the same reason i didn't and said chicken was flavorless and dry. $18 for the chicken tacos and $20 for the pork belly tacos and it probably should've been no more than half that. The kids menu had chicken tenders and fries a cheese quesadilla, Mac and cheese and chicken and rice. Not very good for a kids menu esp at a Mexican restaurant. Oldest daughter ordered a carnitas burrito with only rice beans and guac. Burrito came with Curtido, crema, and red sauce and no meat. She had to send it back and it came back the way she ordered it and said it was decent. My wife got the beef chimichanga but it wasn't fried and came out the same way as the burrito. She didn't mind it and i had a few bites and it was decent. My youngest daughter's pink lemonade had black stuff floating in it and we needed a new one. The warm chips and fresh salsa and the churros were both excellent and worth getting. Our server Jose A. Was very good and attentive and was quick to correct the many mistakes the kitchen made. The atmosphere was nice: clean and presentable with cool murals and decor. Unfortunately the portion size and quality of the food didn't match with that. There was also another male server way that was not our server that kept approaching our table and asking me about my weight. I found that to be incredibly rude and disrespectful especially being done in a public place. We absolutely will not come back to this...
Read moreWe had a reservation for six, showed up prior to the reservation time and still had to wait for tables to be carried across the room as there wasn’t a larger table prepped for the reservation. The restaurant was busy so I understand some lag in service, but we were seated for 20 minutes and got up to get our own menus. Seated for an hour and had to ask our waitress right before we left as no one stopped to refill drinks. Communicating with our waitress was slightly problematic as the live saxophone player was drowning out what she said.
I ordered the birilla nachos, I’ve come to find restaurants go one of two ways with nachos…. They either stack the plate with chips and flavors, or they lay out 8 to ten chips and flavor each one as if they will get them a Michelin star. Bandeleros apparently split the lane with their recipe, 8 to 10 chips covered in meat, cheese, and flavors giving you about four minutes before you’re eating nacho soup with a fork. The flavor was delicious, I just wish they had either added more chips, or held back on some of the toppings. Overall the family had the fajitas, enchiladas, and some steak tacos with no complaints they were delicious. I will return on a day that isn’t so packed and see what happens if n a regular day because over all the flavor was worth it. And our waitress was...
Read moreThis place exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a cozy dining experience! Admittedly, I found locating difficult, but the journey was worth it. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who made us feel welcomed and valued.
Regarding the food, my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered a chicken mojo burrito, which was delightful--the flavors were vibrant, but I wished there had been more succulent chicken to really elevate the dish. On the other hand, my partner opted for the fajita, and unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The steak lacked the hoped-for seasoning punch, and the shrimp was somewhat flavorless.
However, the drinks were a standout feature of our visit--each sip was refreshing and expertly crafted, enticing us to return just for that! To end our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in a churro for dessert. It was enjoyable, with a nice texture and sweetness that rounded off our dining experience nicely. While there were a few misses with the food, the drinks, and cozy ambiance made it a place we would...
