I am a freshman BHS student, and this is week 3 of my 🍴Student Eateries Series🍴
I am craving some Asian food today, but since my school week ended on a Wednesday this week, there are no Asian restaurants that are open today or open early, except this one! So, I decided to give this restaurant a try.
Right as I entered the restaurant, a heavenly smell of Indian spices hit my nose, and it made me feel so good. I got instantly seated, and I ordered a Pork Thukpa, and a Mango Lassi. I can see the city hall from my window. Btw, this is my first time trying Indian food in the USA!
The Mango Lassi was refreshing, mangoes and yogurt combined to make a creamy and cold drink! However, it isn’t even the best thing! When the Pork Thukpa arrived, the broth was boiling and the smell was insane🙏 The food was cooked freshly, and the broth was so good it could cure a sickness. The pork however, was a little hard to bite into and needed to be a little more tender.
The service was good too, nothing to say about it.
Overall, the atmosphere was heavenly with the insane smell of Indian spices, the food was incredibly refreshing, and the service was good. Definitely a good restaurant if you’re craving Indian food! Also, you can get a view of...

I'm not sure of the name of the man that served us but he was incredibly friendly and attentive to all of the needs my Girlfriend and me had. I had the Tandoori Chicken and its presentation was basically perfect, think fajita style. It was also easily one of the best meals I had in a long time, the seasoning was perfect (they aren't afraid to really spice up your food, ask for "Indian hot", but also are accommodating of all spice levels) and it was just wonderful. I sat at home after and just reveled in such an incredible meal. I tend to stick to my favorites but my girlfriend has tried a lot of different menu items and was blown away by it all, they also have incredible vegan options as well, like their Cauliflower Appetizer or Alu Bhanta or the Dal Makhani. For the Fried Rice Lover: Get the Biryani, you'll never go back to other places for fried rice. Not to mention $5 white claws and cozy patio...

He might be new, but he made no effort to find out the answers and pointed to the fridge so we can find out the drinks ourselves. It’s clear he doesn’t care about his job and the restaurant would improve itself by finding someone else or even no one. The girl who brings out the food is way better at everything.
Biryani and samosas were delicious.
However, the veggie momos were not good at all. We went to Sherpa, another Himalayan restaurant, a couple nights earlier and everything was amazing, including all of their momo flavors. I have no idea how this place is so highly rated, even higher than Sherpa.
The decor was plain but i doesn’t matter much I was there...
