🎉 Celebrated My Birthday

In one word… AMAZING! Let me share the full story 🗣️💖. We came to Chicago to explore the city and attend a Neil Young concert as my birthday gift 🎸🎁. My birthday is on August 25, 2025, and I tried to book a table for four online in advance, but everything was fully booked until 9 PM on both the 25th and 26th! So we decided to try our luck at the bar for drinks and snacks 🍸🛋️. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and the place was buzzing with energy! The bartenders were not only super friendly but also incredibly efficient — true pros behind the bar 🍹👏. I put my name down for a table, not expecting much, but they said they’d notify us if something opened up. We thought we’d be waiting at least 30 minutes, if we were lucky… but in less than 10 minutes, we got a table! 🕺💥 And what a table it was! We were seated near the window in the cozy side room — which had a door leading out to a beautiful balcony 🌿🌆. Our server, Colette, was an absolute gem — warm, kind, and she treated us like VIPs from start to finish 💫❤️. We started with a perfect Old Fashioned for me 🥃, and shared the smoked whitefish and garlic bread as an appetizer — so flavorful and fresh! For the main course, my wife and I split the pork ribs with sautéed vegetables (more than enough for two!), and I paired my half with a lovely Tempranillo red wine 🍷🍖. Our friends ordered the cheesy pepper pasta and mushroom risotto — both dishes were rich and delicious! We were so full we couldn’t even think about dessert… but then Colette surprised me with a complimentary mousse dessert for my birthday — such a sweet and thoughtful touch! 🍫🎁 Between the stunning balcony views, the incredible food and drinks, and the flawless service, it was a perfect birthday celebration 🥳💞.
