Charleston: Holding onto Summer Before Fall Arrives π
Time here feels thick and slow, like oil paint on a canvas π¨ (But the mosquitoes showed no mercy β they drained me of 50cc π¦π) πΈ Magnolia Plantation and Gardens The oldest garden estate in Charleston β 400 years of history unfolding like a slow Southern painting. Ancient oaks stretch their moss-bearded branches over pathways. The garden includes a maze, animal encounters, a mini train, and boat tours that carry you through layers of green and history. π’ Shout-out to this free-range ninja turtle: Not only did it cut me off and make me step in turtle poop π©β¦ it also lapped me and chomped my leg while I was taking photos of a possum! π π¦ Bring bug spray β or youβll just be a mobile blood bank for local mosquitoes. I saw one circling my bitten legs, then leave sadlyβ¦ no vacancy! (They do sell spray in the gift shop though!) π Unnamed Seaside Spot Stumbled upon this serene coastline β long, layered, and deeply atmospheric. At sunset, the light paints the sky in soft gradients β a photographerβs dream π·β¨ #Charleston #VisitSC #SouthernCharm #MagnoliaPlantation #GardenWanderer #HasselbladMoments #MosquitoLife #TravelDiaries #AmericanSouth #SlowTravel
