Charleston: Holding onto Summer Before Fall Arrives ๐
Time here feels thick and slow, like oil paint on a canvas ๐จ (But the mosquitoes showed no mercy โ they drained me of 50cc ๐ฆ๐) ๐ธ Magnolia Plantation and Gardens The oldest garden estate in Charleston โ 400 years of history unfolding like a slow Southern painting. Ancient oaks stretch their moss-bearded branches over pathways. The garden includes a maze, animal encounters, a mini train, and boat tours that carry you through layers of green and history. ๐ข Shout-out to this free-range ninja turtle: Not only did it cut me off and make me step in turtle poop ๐ฉโฆ it also lapped me and chomped my leg while I was taking photos of a possum! ๐ญ ๐ฆ Bring bug spray โ or youโll just be a mobile blood bank for local mosquitoes. I saw one circling my bitten legs, then leave sadlyโฆ no vacancy! (They do sell spray in the gift shop though!) ๐ Unnamed Seaside Spot Stumbled upon this serene coastline โ long, layered, and deeply atmospheric. At sunset, the light paints the sky in soft gradients โ a photographerโs dream ๐ทโจ #Charleston #VisitSC #SouthernCharm #MagnoliaPlantation #GardenWanderer #HasselbladMoments #MosquitoLife #TravelDiaries #AmericanSouth #SlowTravel
