Chattanooga Ultimate Guide | Part 2: Eats That Were Total Hits

If you’re ever stuck figuring out where to eat in Chattanooga, just reference this list—every spot we tried was amazing, and the dishes? Chef’s kiss all around! 😋 🔹 ICE—CREAM SHOW Located downtown, right next to the Walnut Street Bridge—this place was packed with people, and now I totally get why! Even though I’m not a big fan of sweet treats, this ice cream blew me away 🤯! The best part? You can customize it with all kinds of toppings—we added Oreos and nuts, and it took the creamy goodness to a whole new level. No fancy words needed: it’s just so delicious, you have to try it for yourself 🍦! 🔹 STATE OF CONFUSION This spot stays open until 2 AM, and the crowd never dies down—for good reason! It’s perfect for late-night cravings or a casual dinner with friends 🌙. Peruvian Guacamole ($9.95): Fresh, zesty, and packed with flavor—served with crispy chips that you’ll keep dipping into until it’s gone 🥑. Crispy Pan Seared Chicken ($16.95): The chicken skin was perfectly crunchy, and the meat inside was juicy and tender—seasoned just right, no dryness here 🐔. Beef Skew Entree ($19.95): Tender chunks of beef grilled to perfection, with a savory marinade that made every bite satisfying. The portion was generous too—definitely enough to fill you up 🥩. 🔹 PUBLIC HOUSE Before we even walked in, someone waiting in line told us, “You’ll never regret eating here”—and they were 100% right! Every dish was (exquisite) and affordable—total value for money ✨. Special Appetizer ($10): A daily limited-edition pork belly dish. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a crispy outer layer and a sweet-savory glaze that had us wanting more 🐷. Fried Chicken ($17): Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—served with tangy coleslaw that cut through the richness perfectly. Spicy Chicken Soup ($5): Another daily special! The flavor was unique—warm, spicy, and with a lovely aftertaste that lingered (in the best way). It’s the kind of soup that warms you up from the inside out 🍲. 🔹 MELLOW MUSHROOM Locals raved about this place, and now we’re obsessed too! It’s a fun, laid-back spot with amazing food—great for lunch or a light dinner 🍕. Avocado Smash ($10.75): Creamy avocado mashed with fresh herbs, served on toasted bread. It’s light, fresh, and perfect for anyone craving something simple but tasty 🥑. Magic Mushroom Soup Bowl ($7.5): Rich, earthy, and packed with mushroom flavor—so cozy, especially on a cooler day. We practically drank the bowl clean! Small Funky Q Chick Pizza ($14): Spicy BBQ chicken, cheese, and veggies on a crispy crust—tangy, cheesy, and totally addictive. SM Pacific Rim ($14): A flavorful mix of Asian-inspired toppings (think teriyaki sauce, pineapple, and veggies)—sweet, savory, and a fun twist on classic pizza. 🔹 TUPELO HONEY CAFE On our last day, the restaurant we planned to visit was closed for the national holiday, so we wandered in here on a whim—and it was such a happy accident! The server was super sweet and friendly, which made the meal even nicer 😊. Waffles Sriracha Honey ($15.75): Fluffy waffles drizzled with spicy-sweet Sriracha honey—crunchy on the edges, soft in the middle, and the perfect balance of heat and sweetness 🧇. Sup Fried Chicken Thighs ($17.95): Crispy, juicy chicken thighs with a bold seasoning—served with creamy mac and cheese that’s pure comfort food. Rainbow Avocado Bowl ($12.75): A colorful mix of avocado, quinoa, roasted veggies, and a zesty dressing—fresh, healthy, and so satisfying (plus, it looks Instagram-worthy too! 🥗). And that’s our food guide! Overall, Chattanooga’s prices are pretty affordable—you get great quality without spending a fortune. If you end up visiting any of these spots, be sure to share your experience with us later! 😘 #ChattanoogaEats #NoBadMealsHere #FoodieGuide #ChattanoogaTravel #RestaurantRecommendations
