Chicago: The Flowers Say Spring Arrives Early Here 🌺
Escape the cold and embrace the spring vibes! 🌴 Garfield Park Conservatory 🕐 Hours: Wednesday 10 AM - 8 PM, Thursday to Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM. Last entry 90 minutes before closing. 🎫 Admission: Free. Online reservations required (see comments for link). The Spring Flower Show is on now until May 12, 2024. 🌟 What You Can Do: 1. Explore 10 acres of outdoor gardens. Unfortunately, the Children’s Garden is under renovation until 2025, but it will reopen with fun spiral pathways and climbing spaces. 2. Wander through tropical, desert, and other themed rooms. During our visit, the Spring Flower Show was in full bloom—it was absolutely mesmerizing! Don’t miss the prehistoric fern room with ancient cycads and ferns. 3. Join family-friendly activities (check the website). Today, there’s an outdoor marshmallow roasting event! 🌿🌸🍃 *A floral wonderland awaits!* ❗️ Tips: 1. Wear comfortable, non-slip shoes as pathways can be damp and slippery. 2. Restrooms and water fountains are available at the front entrance. Use them before starting your tour. 3. Strollers and wagons are allowed. 4. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted but must be consumed in the Horticulture Hall or outdoor gardens. 5. Unattended coat racks are available. 6. This area isn’t the safest in Chicago, so stay alert. We’ve visited twice around 10-11 AM and didn’t encounter any issues, but we can’t vouch for the afternoon. 👟🚼🍎🧥 *Stay comfy and safe!* ♥️ Nearby Activities: Many Chicago attractions are within a 20-minute drive: 🌟 Wonder Works Children’s Museum 🌟 Field Museum 🌟 Lincoln Park Zoo For those without kids, check out: 🌟 Humboldt Park (outdoor, but be mindful of safety) 🌟 National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture 🌟 Navy Pier and other lakeside attractions, all nearby. 🚗🎨🦁 *So much to explore around the city!* #WeekendPlans #Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoFun #ChicagoWithKids #SpringIsComing #NorthAmericaWithKids #NorthAmericaLife
