Chicago’s Best Spot for Fresh Oysters 🦪 Only $1.50 Each!

🫢I’ve always struggled to find a good place in Chicago to enjoy raw oysters. I was worried about the quality being poor, too fishy, or the oysters being too small. I hadn’t heard of any place with particularly delicious oysters either. Later, a friend recommended a steakhouse to me. I went yesterday and was truly impressed! During happy hour, the oysters were only $1.50 each, and they were all incredibly large and fresh. The juices were slightly sweet, with no fishiness at all. The accompanying sauces (especially the red one) were amazing when drizzled on the oysters and eaten together. We ordered a bunch and then added six more! They also had oysters from different regions—East and West. We ordered a half-and-half platter, but honestly, I couldn’t really tell much of a difference last year. However, the East Coast oysters seemed a bit sweeter, though the difference was still quite subtle. They were all very delicate and sweet! 🫢 For those with smaller appetites, the happy hour selection could be filling. We also ordered beef tartare, which was very small but delicious and fresh, perfect for a quick bite. The lobster roll and grilled king crab were also excellent. The crab meat was particularly tender, though the portions were on the smaller side. We also tried a recommended cocktail, which was very refreshing. 🥣 🥩 Eventually, we decided to stay and have dinner here. We each ordered a steak, which was also very good. I had the Hand-Cut Filet Mignon, and the other was a Bone-in Ribeye. Both were well-prepared and flavorful. #ChicagoSteakhouse #ChicagoFood #ChicagoFoodExploration #ChicagoOysters
