Chicago’s Hottest New Pizza — PIZZ'AMICI 🍕🔥

This tavern-style pizza spot in West Town has been packed since opening — dinner reservations are nearly impossible. Recently named one of America’s Top 20 Pizzas by Infatuation — and Chicago’s only entry on the list. My friend and I decided to walk in right at opening — if no luck, there were backup pizza spots nearby. 🍕 The famous Tavern-Style Pizza — menu lists tons of toppings to mix and match, but they suggest no more than three for best texture. Following the server’s rec, we got sausage + giardiniera — so good! Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, and actually spicy (mild, not fiery). I was sweating and loving it. 🍕 Caponata – Roasted eggplant and tomatoes, sweet-tangy, served with fresh focaccia — perfect appetizer. 🍕 Heirloom Tomatoes + Focaccia – A veggie side in disguise. Heirloom tomatoes are summer’s best — so refreshing. 🍕 Pepperoni Negroni (friend’s order) – Didn’t try, but made with pepperoni-infused liquor and garnished with a tiny pepperoni 😂 The space is small, retro-American vibe — cute for a date.
