Chicago’s Newest Vibe-Filled Wine Bar — Nettare 🍷
Recently spotted this new spot near home and watched for its opening. Visited just three days after launch! From the street, it looks like a wine shop, but walk through the hallway and you’ll find a lovely patio dining area in the back. 🍝 Tagliatelle – Parmesan cream with dried lemon, capers, and grilled radish — creamy, tangy, and bright. 🐔 Game Bird (Wild Pheasant) – About half a bird, served with grits. A bit drier than roast chicken, but flavorful — a nice change of pace. 🍨 Homemade Ice Cream – Grape basil and rum raisin flavors. The rum raisin was better — grape basil had too many inedible sage stems mixed in. The chef previously worked at BLVD and Table, Donkey and Stick, aiming for an Italian-Mediterranean meets Midwest vibe. Menu nods to nearby eateries and bakeries — feels like a friendly neighborhood gem. Great food, cozy ambiance, perfect for dates. 📍 Nettare 1953 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 #Nettare #WineBar #WestTown #ChicagoEats #PatioDining #ItalianInspired #NeighborhoodSpot
