Chicago’s Super Vibe-y Independent Bookstore

📍 Slant of Light Books Yesterday, after catching a Chicago International Film Festival movie at AMC New City 14, I spent the afternoon wandering through Old Town and stumbled upon this "underground" indie bookstore 📚✨ The collection isn’t huge, but I was pleasantly surprised to spot a few Chinese editions of world classics! The shop also carries cute stickers, greeting cards, and handmade scented candles with really fun names like: Bookworm, Plot Twist, One More Page, Main Character Energy, Slow Burn, and Inhale Exhale 🌬️💡 I ended up buying "Main Character Energy" — a refreshing matcha + grapefruit scent. Mostly hoping it gives me some positive vibes 🥲🕯️ Comfy sofas and chairs are scattered around, with soft music playing in the background. The owner was really sweet too — you could easily spend a whole afternoon here. A perfect place to slow down and unwind! Finished reading Yoko Ono’s An Invisible Flower and a fun book about medieval cats 🐱 — both were used copies but still in great condition.
