Chicago’s Top Korean Wagyu Cuisine 🥩✨
This is the new Wagyu-focused restaurant from the same group behind Tengoku and Yume. Tried the best Wagyu of my life here, and had this year’s #1 Korean whiskey — Ki One 🥃! 🏙️ Ambience: Cozy yet elegant space with marble tables, gold and gray tones — very upscale. Only two chefs, each working on one side, courses served one by one. It’s quiet… so if you chat while eating, people nearby might hear everything 😂 (unless you speak Chinese). 🍽️ Food: Wagyu heaven! Every dish showcased Wagyu in a different way — from beef tartare to Wagyu truffle hand roll 🍣. Literally a Wagyu omakase — so satisfying without feeling heavy. Special shoutout to the Budae Jjigae (army stew) made with chashu and pork sausage — a must-try! Don’t miss adding the $25 hand roll and $20 truffle upgrade — pure umami perfection. 🍾 Drinks: Found Ki One whiskey — rated #1 this year — which is hard to find anywhere else in Chicago! Smooth, balanced, with deep notes — a must-order if you’re into whiskey. Also tried champagne and Japanese sake 🍶. The staff kindly reminded us about pacing drinks before the next seating… but hey, we Chinese never leave drinks unfinished 😉 🍰 Dessert: Not too sweet — just right for the Asian palate! A bit small, but if you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary, they’ll give you an extra treat 🎂. #ChicagoKorean #ChicagoEats #WagyuLovers #FineDining #HiddenGem #ChicagoLife
