Chicago|Amazing Argentine Paella, Squid & Mussels! 🥘🦑
📍 Artango Bar & Steakhouse We skipped the steak this time (steak is everywhere!) but their seafood is truly irresistible! The place is a live house—🎤—pretty spacious. It’s lively and loud due to live performances (you’ll have to raise your voice to chat), but the vibe is electric and the music is great! A dancer even performs in between songs 💃🏽. If it’s too loud inside, you can sit outside—weather’s nice and warm now too! 1️⃣ Paella Del Sur (small) Perfect for 1–2 people. Loaded with seafood: shrimp, mussels, scallops, baby squid. The rice is a bit dry, but the seafood makes up for it! 2️⃣ Ceviche Nikkei A refreshing cold dish packed with raw tuna, served with taro chips for dipping. Tangy, bright, and so delicious—I loved it! 💕 3️⃣ Mejillones y Morcilla Mussels + blood sausage + bread 🍞✨ SO GOOD!! The mussels are fresh, the sausage is flavorful, and though there’s not much sauce, it’s perfect for dipping the bread. 4️⃣ Pulpo A La Parrilla Grilled octopus + potato chunks + greens. Octopus is tender and plentiful, potatoes are tasty but the yellow sauce on them is… interesting 😅. The side greens are just like those served with steak—also not my favorite. Overall, a unique experience—Argentinian cuisine isn’t common in Chicago, and the live music + performances add a special touch! Their cocktails are smooth and not too strong—great for those who prefer lighter drinks. ⚠️ Downsides: It gets busy, so service can be slow. Many come for celebrations, dates, or birthdays. Prices lean toward fine dining, but the staff dresses casually and service is more relaxed than upscale. Still—flavor-wise, totally worth it! #ChicagoEats #ArgentinianFood #SeafoodLovers #LiveMusicDining #ChicagoRestaurants #Paella
