Chicago|Boqueria – Instantly Transported to Spain 🇪🇸✨
Boqueria is my current favorite affordable Spanish spot—flavorful, reliable, and perfect for casual eats. Amex sometimes has offers for this place too, so keep an eye out! First visit, I tried the tasting menu, but honestly, don’t bother—the portions are way too huge! Better to order à la carte. ✅ Recommended: 🥓 Jamón (the pricier one) – So good! Not overly salty, absolutely delicious. 🥔 Patatas Bravas – Crispy outside, soft inside, with a fragrant chili powder and creamy white sauce. The tomato sauce underneath cuts through the richness—way better than Lil' Ba-Ba-Reeba's version! 🦐 Gambas al Ajillo – Garlic shrimp in olive oil, a no-brainer classic. 🥘 Paella (small) – Generous portion with plenty of seafood, definitely worth a try. 🌿 Fried Artichokes – On the tangy side—I loved them, though my friend wasn’t as keen. 😐 Just Okay: 🧆 Fried Croquettes Platter – Two flavors (one truffle-ham, but not very distinct). Basically just fried potato balls—fine but forgettable lol. #ChicagoEats #SpanishFood #BoqueriaChicago #TapasLove #AffordableEats #FoodieFinds 🇪🇸🍤
