Chicago|Dimmi Dimmi – A New Italian Option 🍝🇮🇹

This spot used to be an Italian restaurant before it closed. The new owner wanted to keep the original regulars while also attracting new customers—hence the name “Dimmi Dimmi” (Tell Me Tell Me). The chef reportedly worked at places like Carbone for over a decade, so you can feel the love for red sauce everywhere—from the pasta dishes to even the Wi‑Fi password (seriously 😄). 🍞 Focaccia – More like a flatbread than typical focaccia, served with dips: bean purée, honey ricotta, roasted eggplant, or pickles (extra charge). We went for the sweet honey ricotta—delicious! 🐟 Hamachi Crudo – Buttery yellowtail with almond chili sauce and refreshing lemon zest. 🥗 Tomato Salad – A seasonal special during tomato season, dressed with tomato‑infused vinegar. 🍝 Pastas (Orecchiette, Cavatelli, Rigatoni) – All served with rich, meaty red sauce. The sauce is deep and flavorful, packed with generous meat, and the pasta is cooked just right. Every one was a winner! The decor is Italian‑inspired and vintage‑chic—dim lighting but full of atmosphere, great for photos. Most importantly, the food is delicious and reasonably priced—a high‑quality neighborhood Italian trattoria. Perfect for dinner or a date if you’re in the area. 📍 Dimmi Dimmi Corner Italian 1112 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 #SummerFoodieCat 🐱 #Chicago #ChicagoLife #ChicagoEats #ItalianFood
